After finishing ArtEZ Arnhem in 2004, I started my own design studio.

In 2010 I finished the master Art management and policy at the University in Utrecht.
Within this study I focused on the field of design. In my thesis I conducted research
on the history of the visual identity of the Dutch government.

Teamlead (visual) Design, Online UX Digital Banking ABN AMRO
Team Lead Visual Design within the Online User Experience team of Digital Banking. With my team we are responsible for online omnichannel customer experience for all retail customers of ABN AMRO.
Designer, De Argumentenfabriek
As a designer I was responsible for the design of online and offline infographics, visualizations.
During my time at De Argumentfabriek, I was also a guest lecturer at the minor ‘Editorial Media Design’ (Hogeschool Utrecht). Where I was coaching students on their own infographics project.
Owner and designer, Studio Maaike Molenkamp
As the owner of this design studio I am responsible for managing clients, conceptual
ideas and designing. I work on printed matter as well as digital media.
Teacher Image Analysis, Modern International Arts and Design Academy Chongqing, China
As a teacher, I taught ‘Image Analysis’ in English to 150 Chinese students. I made an educational program, containing practical and theoretical assignments about (graphic) design on a beginners level.
Communications Manager, Foundation Design Den Haag
With a small team we realized the event ‘ The Hague Design and Government’ in 2010. Within this event I was responsible for the international pr and communication, budget, planning, supervising of interns and affiliation contracts with partners.

Researcher design history, Foundation Design Den Haag
As a researcher, I conducted research on the history and development of the visual identity of the Dutch government. In cooperation with the interdepartmental project group 1 Logo and Foundation Design Den Haag, this research was published on the 4th of June 2010.
